How was the Show?
- I am amazed by the singer for Arch Enemy. It is interesting to hear such a deep growl from such a fair woman. She must be every metalhead's fantasy.
- James rightly observed that the tone of voice from the singer of Opeth could also function for an Edgar Allen Poe audiobook.
- Lamb of God pummeled and hammered. Amazing.
- Nobody was in line for Au Bon Pain
- We didn't actually stay for Megadeth. I know...I know...
My first show in Boston
Tomorrow afternoon I am hopping on the commuter rail to Boston along with James to check out Megadeth and Lamb of God on the heavy metal Gigantour. I am feeling the sweat and energy of the mob already. I personally don't know much of either band, except that Megadeth is classic. This will be great.
Religion as Egoism
“In short, religion has essentially a practical aim and foundation; the drive that gives rise to religion, its ultimate foundation, is the striving for happiness, and if this is an egoistic drive, it follows that the ultimate foundation of religion is egoism.” -Feuerbach
