Understanding Genesis

I recommend Meredith Kline's Kingdom Prologue for those who wish to have an understanding of the book of Genesis. I am astounded at the depth of symbolism in the creation, and i am amazed at just how much i have missed the point in the creation account. One of the main ideas is that the cosmos, the earth, and Eden are representations of the tabernacle, which is the dwelling place of God. Interesting.
Boston Cohort
We met with Tony Jones for drinks on a frigid evening in Cambridge. Gentry, Anna and James will probably give a better account on the whole evening. What I can say is that Tony is a really nice guy. Those who have an opportunity to meet him should. I will leave you with a profound suggestion from Tony: "You guys have got to see this video"
Although, I personally like this one better:
Winter Session
I began the Winter Session 'Christ in the Old Testament' taught by Gordon Hugenberger, pastor of Park Street Church. He is a brilliant guy who is passionate in his teaching. I remember a few years ago in my Hebrew class, as the teacher was working out linguistic paradigms, and as my mind fluttered about my textbook, i came across an article that hermeneutically showed how the well known statement 'still small voice' that spoke to Elijah in that lonesome cave may be better interpreted as loud and powerful. It was such a novel idea that the name of the author, Hugenberger, remained in my mind. I would have never guessed during that Hebrew Class that in a few years I would sit under this man.
